Kevin graduated from the School of Law at Queens College in 1995. After graduating, Kevin went to work for Buffalo’s Mayor Tony Masiello in the Corporation Counsel’s Office in 1996. While in the Corporation Counsel’s office, Kevin was a prosecutor for Buffalo City Court Housing Court matters, did defense litigation for the Buffalo Fire Department and the Buffalo Police Department, and was appointed to Deputy Corporation Counsel.
In 2003 Kevin was elected Buffalo City Court Judge where he served two terms for 20 years. While a City Court, in addition to his other responsibilities, Judge Keane was assigned to oversee the Domestic Violence Part for two years and then for the last six years on the bench he was in charge of the DWI Compliance Court Judge for Erie County.
Kevin retired from the City Court bench at the end of 2023 to advocate for injured people, joining O’Brien & Ford Buffalo Car Accident and Personal Injury Lawyers in April of 2024.
Kevin has been practicing law for more than 28 years. He lives in South Buffalo with his wife of 25 years and his two children.
